UV lights improve a building’s IAQ
UV light gives an indoor area cleaner air and a fresher smell. The UV light is attached to your heating, ventilation and cooling system; it will last up to five years, depending on the brand.
The radiation is germicidal, killing spores, bacteria and other pollutants. It also reduces odors as it neutralizes VOCs – volatile organic compounds that come from home cleaning products and cooking.
One special advantage: UV radiation keeps mold and other unwanted substances from attaching themselves to the evaporator coils and slowing the system’s operation. And a slower operation adds to utility costs and shortens the HVAC’s life span.
UV lights boost the efficiency of your air filters, too. While filters capture unwanted substances, UV lights neutralize microorganisms that find their way through the filters.
The combination clears the air in your home or workplace, gives you a more effective HVAC system and less expensive utility bills.
