Warm house, cold room?
So you have the heat running just right at home and the family is happy and cozy, but one room doesn’t seem to share the warmth.
It’s not uncommon for one room to stay cooler than the others.
There are several possible causes. Some are easy fixes while others are not.
The easy fix is to find that a vent or duct is blocked by a piece of furniture, preventing the warm air from circulating in that room.
The more challenging options: a leak in the ducts, a lack of insulation for that room, or a problem with the heating system.
Worst of all, if this has been a problem for years, it may mean the wrong size of heating system was installed. Sizing a system is complicated work, requiring numerous details as outlined in Manual J, required reading for any HVAC contractor.
Fortunately, an experienced technician can often determine the reason behind the too-cool room and offer solutions.
Elite technicians service and install a wide variety of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. We guarantee their labor.
